In the peaceful world of Veldime, humans rarely encountered monsters. That was until Overlord Zenon cursed the land and all who reside within. With the curse in place, the humans became monsters and ravaged the world. It is up to Adell, the last remaining human, to oppose Overlord Zenon's tyranny and restore peace and harmony to Veldime. In Disgaea 2, players will take on the role of a young fighter named Adell and travel the netherworld to defeat the evil overlord Zenon. Battles will take place on a 3D grid based field. During combat, players will take turns between the enemy to move and attack. Key Features Geo panel based strategic battle system Lift & throw with stack attacks Dark assembly/court system where the sinners are praised All-new animated sequence with vastly improved 3D environment Over 100 hours of sleepless game play

Features
  • Disgaea 2 is divided into 13 chapters. Each chapter begins with cut scenes to explain Adell's next mission.
  • Players then take control of Adell in his hometown of Holt.
  • The town serves as a gateway to story maps, side quests, the dark council, and the item world.
  • At the beginning of each chapter, a new area is unlocked. Each area consists of multiple maps which must be beaten to advance to the next chapter.
  • Talking to the gatekeeper of Holt will give players the option of exploring the new area or repeating any maps that have been beaten.
  • Many maps also have cut scenes. Scenes at the beginning and end of each chapter cannot be skipped.
  • The gameplay in Disgaea 2 builds directly upon that of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness; players control a party of characters to do battle on a 3D isometric grid map.
  • The Item World game mode returns from Disgaea: Hour of Darkness. Players can select any item in the party's inventory and enter it.
  • The levels within are randomly generated, and the difficulty of enemies depends on the item's rarity or power.
  • There are two ways to descend through the Item World: by defeating all enemies on a given level, or by using exit portals located somewhere on each level.
  • Special enemies, called Guardians, can be freed by defeating them, imparting certain benefits to the item, such as increased attack or defense values.
  • Once they are freed, they can be moved between items freely.
  • The further a player descends through a given item's Item World, the higher the stat bonuses it will receive.

Sakura Wars: So Long My Love is a single player strategy role-playing game (SRPG) and the first game in the popular Japanese Sakura Wars franchise to be released in North America. The game features both an exciting and fast-paced mech/air battle system and a unique, sim-based storyline. This in-depth storyline allows for character interaction that plays a major role in the progression of game action as the players interactions with various characters in the game can ultimately change the story content and even the final outcome. In addition, the PlayStation 2 Premium Edition contains several extras, including an artbook, poster and limited edition packaging.

Sakura Wars: So Long My Love is a strategy RPG. Gameplay is split between two modes: Adventure Mode and Battle Mode. In Adventure Mode Shinjiro explores the Littlelip Theater and greater New York City, interacting with other members of the Star Division and various other characters in a variety of ways, including timed and untimed dialog and action selections and on-screen manipulations using controller analog sticks. In addition, players take part in events such as Broadway shows. Depending on your interactions with team members, their "Trust" in you will change. If this change is positive the player will form "Bonds" with the respective team member, which will affect skills, abilities and possibilities in battle.

Battle Mode features a strategic real-time RPG battle system in which players control up to six team members in ground and aerial combat with the goal of destroying enemies. Ground combat takes place using mechanized suits referred to as STARS (Super Telekinetic Assault Robots). Every STARS unit in the game can transform from a battle mech into a jet fighter during combat, depending on the situation. Once transformed, weapons and movement methods will change accordingly. For example, the hero’s ground mode utilizes a sword as his main weapon, but in jet mode he will use long-range missiles. In coordinating attacks with team members players can adopt differing strategies which utilize fluctuating amounts of mobility, hit points and healing abilities. Each character also has access to unique Super Attacks that can be unleashed. Focused joint attacks can also be enacted by two or more characters which have built sufficient bonds between them in Adventure Mode. Additional features available include the ability to take, save and collect in-game photos, hidden secret events and a quiz game.

Features
  • Additional in-game activities and functionality including Broadway performances with AI Stars teammates, in-game photo functionality, secret events and a quiz game.
  • Premium Edition includes: game for PlayStation 2, artbook, poster and limited edition packaging.
  • Adventure Mode allowing the player to explore New York City and build relationship with in-game AI teammates.
  • A strategy RPG battle system allowing for coordinated control of a team of diverse female fighters, each operating Mech battlesuits that can fight both on the ground and in the air.
  • Anime-style storytelling with tons of anime movie scenes and dual voiceover (English/Japanese), as well as high replay value through different possible endings, each of which hinges on the bonds created between characters in-game.

Cross Edge is the result of an unprecedented collaboration between five major Japanese game publishers. Nippon Ichi Software, Capcom, Namco Bandai, Gust, and Idea Factory have joined forces to create a Strategy RPG unlike any other and exclusive to PlayStation 3.

Features
  • Cross Edge features characters and storylines from popular franchises including: Darkstalkers, Disgaea, Mana Khemia, and Spectral Souls. Cross Edge is action-packed with memorable characters, amazing items, and over-the-top battles to deliver an once-in-a-lifetime gaming experience.
  • Story
  • The story of Cross Edge follows the adventures of hero and heroine York Neely and Miki Aiba. Awaking in a strange world, they are soon sought out by a little girl named May. She tells them that the world around them was created from souls gathered from other worlds and that if this stealing of souls from other places does not stop, sooner or later those other places--that is reality--will disappear forever. To stop this from happening they will have to defeat this new world's evil master by releasing all the souls now confined to his nightmare world. To do this they will need all the special abilities that they possess, as well as the help they will gain from others that they meet on their travels.
  • Gameplay
  • Cross Edge is a traditional Japanese role-playing game complete with world map, random battles, level grinding, item combining/creation using alchemy, etc. It also features heroes and villains from game franchises published by Gust, Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Namco Bandai and Idea Factory. As players set about freeing the trapped souls supporting the nightmare world that they are stuck in, they engage in turn-based team battles. This is where the characters from previous games come in. Players must enlist them to join in party-based battles. Success in these battles is based on the ability to string together specific moves into chain attack sequences, which in turn unlock even stronger combinations when successful. Players can also increase their characters' stats and abilities by acquiring additional costumes called 'forms' and redressing their characters in them. Female characters physical appearances can also be changed based on the form they're wearing.
  • The goal of the game is to release souls. You can find and collect souls by searching around area maps. Exposure to souls can grant players items or unlock events. Along with soul related events, maps will also point players to other helpful locations such as event points, points at which other events may occur, and save points, where you can save your game as well as buy, sell and trade items.
  • Key Features
  • Cross Edge combines classic RPG combat with a grid-based Strategy RPG combat to create a hybrid battle system. In combat, a square grid will appear beneath the units. Some units are better at close combat and others at a distance, so players must strategically move their units to battle enemies.
  • In combat, some units can toss up enemies and chain combo various moves for extra damage, like in a fighting game.
  • By using characters from Gust titles, players can use alchemy to craft weapons.
  • Change costumes to increase character’s stats and abilities, and in some cases revealing cut scenes.
  • Explore dungeons to run, jump and attack.
  • Cross Edge is bilingual. Players have the option to choose between English or Japanese voiceovers.
  • Add to your PlayStation trophy collection as you play through the game.

Our Price: $79.99
Release Date: 7/1/2010

Version: JAPAN - BLJM-60238

Release Date: 7/1/2010

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift still retains it's traditional 2D fighter feel where two characters participate in a duel on a two dimensional plane. A round is called a "rebel" and one match can consist of one to five "rebels". To win a round, one player must either incapacitate the other by inflicting damage through various attacks to reduce health or by having more remaining health after the clock runs out if the rules of the match has one.

However, some mechanics from the previous installment have been changed or completely replaced in the transition.

Barrier Burst has been replaced with Break Burst, a similar ability but with different penalties. Break Burst can only be performed twice in a single match, and its second use can only become available if you lose a round. It no longer permanently drains your Barrier Gauge or gives you the "DANGER" penalty. A free unused burst is required for Astral Heats. Bursts have different properties depending on when they are used, as the offensive "Gold Burst" has high bounce and combo-ability and the combos initiated by it can kill while the defensive "Green Burst" will provide invincibility for the entire burst motion at the cost of permanently halving your maximum primer points. All lost primer points will never recover.

Features
  • Guard Libra has been replaced with Guard Primer. Instead of a gauge, Guard Primer relies on a point system where each character has a certain amount of points (e.g. Tager has a maximum of 10 primer points while characters like Carl or Rachel have 4) which are depleted whenever moves with the "Guard Break" property (e.g. Lambda's "Act Parser Zwei : Cavalier" or the D version of Ragna's "Inferno Divider") are blocked. Primer points regenerate over time. Upon depletion of all points, the character is "Guard Crushed." Barrier can be used to avoid being guard crushed.
  • Astral Heat conditions have been changed. Instead of requiring it to be the final round and the opponent being within 20% health, it now only requires it to be your match point round and your opponent being below 35% health. It still requires 100% heat and now has the additional requirement of a freely available unused Burst.

Release Date: 9/17/09
Publisher: Bandai Namco Games

Tales of Vesperia will be ported to the PlayStation 3 in September 17, 2009 with additional content as well as a different logo. A PlayStation 3 port has been long rumoured and was finally leaked from the April issue of Shōnen Jump and was officially announced at a Tales Press conference by Namco Bandai on April 6, 2009. It is the second to be released in the Tales Line-Up of 2009, after Tales of VS, an escort title for the PSP, and before Tales of Graces, the new Mothership Title for the Wii. No Western release date has been announced. Tales of Vesperia PS3 demo was released July 13, 2009 in the Japan PSN store. A user named Kouli found data in the PS3 Demo that had already been translated into English, though it differs from the dual-language data found in the XBOX360 demo.

Features
  • Tales of Vesperia uses an improved and evolved version of Tales of the Abyss's battle system, called the "Evolved Flex-Range Linear Motion Battle System" (EFR-LMBS). As with previous Tales games, characters can move freely around the battlefield to combat their enemies in real-time.
  • An added aspect to the game's world is the "Encounter Linking" system. If multiple groups of roaming enemies are in close proximity when a battle starts, the ensuing battle will contain all the enemies. Also returning from previous Tales games are "surprise encounters." Like in Tales of the Abyss, a surprise encounter rearranges the active party when taken into battle. Tales of Vesperia also makes use of "Secret Missions," special tasks or challenges that can be completed during boss fights for certain rewards.
  • Returning from Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the Abyss is the "Over Limit". As in Tales of the Abyss, it is marked by a visible gauge, but it comes in the form of a single bar that can be used by up to four party members at once, or used by a single character up to four levels to give more powerful effects. "Burst Artes", another new feature, are powerful attacks performed while in Over Limit mode and after using an arcane arte or a spell change. Depending on the Over Limit level, its duration increases, allowing players to add in more combos. As with previous Tales games, characters are able to pull off powerful Mystic Artes. Characters can also perform "Fatal Strikes", attacks capable of defeating enemies with one strike after a certain gauge is depleted. These attacks can also be chained for a higher score.
  • Tales of Vesperia introduces a new skill system to the series. They are found and used through equipment. Through fighting battles, characters gain Learning Points, which are assigned to all currently unlearned skills. When enough Learning Points are acquired, that character learns the skills. Learned skills can be equipped on a character without having the associated weapon equipped, but then they use up a certain number of Skill Points (SP), which are gained through leveling up. Through skills, characters are also capable of "Altered Artes," artes or spells that are created when a certain skill is equipped and a certain arte is used. Through using an Altered Arte enough times, the character learns that arte or spell and is capable of using it without having the skill equipped.
  • The game does not contain online multiplayer or competitive battles, but it does contain online leaderboards for things such as highest combo and minigame scores. The game also has downloadable content for items that are difficult to acquire in-game.
