Finally, Nintendo realizes we need more colors for this system. This is going to be on the top of my to get list. Lets just hope that this system is not going to be under produced in true Nintendo fashion.

They are also going to be releasing black nunchucks to match this wii. It looks like it should retail for the same price which i think is a great deal while keeping in mind new colors usually equals higher prices.

Nintendo's next-generation gaming system is a far cry from their previous consoles - and possibly every other console out there! This compact but powerful next-gen console was previously announced under the name "Revolution" before being changed to Wii, a name meant to evoke a sense of community (i.e., "we").

The uniqueness of Wii starts with its controller, called the Wii Remote. This one-handed, wireless (via Bluetooth) controller resembles a remote control, but is able to do much, much more. When rotated 90 degrees, the Wii Remote can be used like a standard Nintendo gamepad, with a D-pad and various buttons at the gamer's fingertips, which allows for control of classic games, available through an online channel called the Virtual Console.

I don't know about everyone else, but this is by far the best looking color that has been released for the Nintendo DSi, both domestic and import. We are taking pre-orders and if you share my enthusiasm then now is the time to order!
  • Nintendo has announced that it will be about 12% thinner than the DS Lite.
  • The new handheld will contain two cameras (a 0.3 megapixel [300,000 pixels, 640 x 480 resolution] VGA camera on the internal hinge pointed towards the user, and a camera on the outside of the shell)
  • Larger screens (3.25 inches as opposed to the previous 3 inches).
  • Improved speakers.
  • The power switch was replaced with a power button, as the original DS had, now located next to the bottom left side of the touch screen.
  • A new SD card slot will be utilized for external storage of pictures and downloaded software and to play AAC audio.
  • The DSi will have its own internal flash memory. Photos can be synced to the Wii's Photo Channel. It is possible to download games from an online store, called the DSiWare Shop, and store them on the DSi. The applications will either be free, 200, 500, or 800+ Nintendo Points.
  • It has been reported that the DSi will utilize region locking for DSi-specific software, since it will provide Internet services tailored individually for each region. In addition, the DSi uses rating-based parental controls, which differ by country.
