Based on part one of Dante Alighieri's classic poem "The Divine Comedy," Dante's Inferno is a third-person action adventure game taking Dante on an epic journey through Hell as he seeks to rescue the soul of his beloved Beatrice. Descend through the nine circles of Hell: limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud, and treachery. Each circle features distinct environments, enemies, and story elements befitting the sins committed by their inhabitants, with large-scale beasts and bosses, some of which Dante will be able to fully tame, utilizing them to throw back Hell's wrath to its minions. Armed with Death's Scythe, Beatrice's Holy Cross, magic powers and a deep, customizable upgrade system, take full advantage of fast and fluid gameplay running at a constant 60 frames per second.

• Creature Taming: With the power of Death's scythe, you are able to mount the beasts of Hell and use them against your enemies. All of this, however, requires ridding the beast of its current rider first. If successful, you will become the beast's new master. Now use its awesome power to pulverize enemies and complete tasks that require a beast's strength.
• Holy Powers: During your journey, you may collect magic abilities for use against the legions of Hell. When you perform the Righteous Path power you make a dash attack and leave a trail of icy shards in your wake. With Martyrdom you sacrifice health and manna to deal a heavy amount of damage to surrounding enemies. Divine Armor regenerates your health and protects you from damage. Add these and other powers to your arsenal to vanquish all who stand in your way.
• Nine Circles of Hell: Descending through the nine Circles of Hell requires constant vigilance and awareness. Take in your surroundings and decide on the best course of action. Move laterally, jump to higher planes, cross large gaps, and more?let no obstacle keep you from fulfilling your quest. While exploring, keep a watchful eye for even the smallest details, for there are many hidden items to be found
• Scythe Combat: To vanquish your foes on your journey through Hell, you must learn to wield Death's scythe with precision and deadly force. Mix light attacks with heavy attacks to create combos, then incorporate jumps and grabs to add another layer to your combat. With dodging and Holy Cross moves thrown into the mix, you can truly become a force to be reckoned with. Without using all of your combative skills and techniques, there is no hope of ever reaching Beatrice.
