Nintendo's next-generation gaming system is a far cry from their previous consoles - and possibly every other console out there! This compact but powerful next-gen console was previously announced under the name "Revolution" before being changed to Wii, a name meant to evoke a sense of community (i.e., "we").

The uniqueness of Wii starts with its controller, called the Wii Remote. This one-handed, wireless (via Bluetooth) controller resembles a remote control, but is able to do much, much more. When rotated 90 degrees, the Wii Remote can be used like a standard Nintendo gamepad, with a D-pad and various buttons at the gamer's fingertips, which allows for control of classic games, available through an online channel called the Virtual Console.

Dragonite, known as the Dragon Pokémon, is the final form of the Dratini evolutionary line. Dragonite's appearance is notably different from that of its previous forms. As Dragonite, it is now a golden bipedal dragon with a beige underbelly that extends from the top of its neck to the tip of its tail. Along with already being a Dragon-type, it has now gained the secondary Flying-type, growing wings. Dragonite are extremely fast, able to circle around the globe in sixteen hours. It has a small horn on the top of its head, along with slightly "S" shaped antennae.

Lapras is a sea turtle-like Pokémon with a shell made of rock on its back. They have a gentle, pleasant personality and intelligence high enough to understand people. Lapras is a highly sought-after Pokémon. Due to their peaceful nature, Lapras rarely fight back, posing little challenge to trainers and poachers despite their size. The continuous capture of Lapras over time has caused its numbers to dwindle, driving it to the brink of extinction. A Lapras is far more likely to sing in a plaintive, mournful cry rather than the happy ones it is known for, as it tries in vain to find others of its kind.

Snorlax, known as the sleeping Pokémon, is a large Pokémon with a body somewhat in the shape of a panda bear (though the ears suggests that Snorlax is a cat). Snorlax has been said to weigh over 1,000 pounds and for a time was considered the heaviest known Pokémon. Its name is derived from its constant sleep spells.

Jirachi a legendary Pokémon that first appeared in the Nintendo games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. It possesses telepathic and telekenetic abilities, including the ability to levitate. Jirachi hibernates for periods of one thousand years in a crystalline cocoon. If it is ever in danger, it will fight its attacker, but not awaken from its slumber. After one thousand years have elapsed, Jirachi awakens from its sleep for one week if it is sung to in a pure voice. During this period, it is able to make wishes. If a message is inscribed onto one of the "tags" on Jirachi's head, it will fulfill those wishes. After it fulfills the wishes, Jirachi returns to hibernation in a newly-formed cocoon, waiting another thousand years for its next master's wish. Jirachi's signature move is Doom Desire.
