Street fighter 4 brought an unexpected wave of business during February, traditionally the slowest time of the year for most nationwide retail. Early morning, we were worried that street fighter 4 would not arrive in time, so instead, we drove steadily north to make a direct pickup. With phone calls urgently asking arrival times, and a small crowd gathering at the front our of retail store, we were finally able to quell all the madness with a 1 p.m. street fighter IV arrival.
We were surprised to hear that the madcatz sticks that we sold prior were already experiencing early directional problems, deterring many buyers to turn to the Hori Real Arcade EX 360 and the Hori Real Arcade Pro 3. Unbelievably, we sold out our Hori sticks by 4 p.m. To accomodate the increasing demand, we had to source the Hori sticks locally. Consequently, we adjusted our price to $149.99 per stick. With Hori discontinuing both ps3 and 360 versions of the hori stick, $149.99 will be a definite bargain in the coming weeks, as madcatz has shortages of all its sticks across the nation until mid march.
Next week, we expect a busy turnout as Killzone 2 and Ryu ga Gotoku 3 hit the scene.
