PSP-3001 Announced

Rumors of the new PSP-3000 have been flying! We went into the FCC databases and saw a few blueprints for the new psp, hopefully to hit stores next July. A few new features would include, a built-in microphone, a new PS button similar to the one on the PS3, and potentially some GPS functions.

Pokemon Collection Battle Scene Figure - Regigigas / Giratina - Toy Pre-Order

TakaraTomy releases a semi-hail of new pokemon battle scene figures mid-september. These figures stand 4" tall and and are articulated at all points. The first figure is Giratina, known as the renegade Pokemon, and was first introduced to the world in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Similarly, the second figure is Regigigas, known as the Colossal Pokemon. Both pokemon are extremely popular, especially in the plush sector, but are slowly making their way solid-side.

Bleach Soul Carnival PSP - Import Pre-Order

Sony releases another Bleach game onto the PSP! Boasting over 70 characters, Bleach: Soul Carnival promises exciting gameplay with its new implementation of these tiny chibi-infused 2d fighters. Since we're nearing the end of the series, its nice to see Ulquiorra dousing the front cover. When will a vizard ever make it to the front cover? I guess we'll have to wait.

We will be receiving an abnormally large shipment of these games 4th week of October. We anticipate that with an increasing number of bleach fans, these minature fighters will make a definite knockout.

Harvest Moon: Waku Waku Animal Match

Harvest moon makes a grand entrance onto the Wii as Harvest Moon: Waku Waku Animal Match. Upon starting the game, players start their new farming business in Harmonica Town. Trouble starts to build, land starts to dry, and wind becomes weak. Fans must visit the goddess to find out the causes of these fatalities. Besides growing, farming, and feeding livestock; players enjoy an easy and relaxing type of play. Marvelous Entertainment has increased the animal count substantially. In addition, players could earn love points through conversations with specific residents to put toward the Love and Marriage system. The game also allows for up to 4 players to play simultaneously. The multi-player mode is kept a secret currently, but you can be sure that this title will be another adventure for all Harvest Moon fans!

Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon DS+ - New Import Pre-Order - 10/30/2008

Chocobo's Dungeon is coming to the DS! Ported from the Wii, Chocobo Dungeon's story line closely follows the Wii version. Follow Cid and Chocobo as they investigate the "Town of Lostime" and help recover the memories of the residents from the deep dungeon.

Players will also see a reoccurring cast are not only limited to Shiroma (the white wizard), Stella (Shiroma's aunt), Croma (the black wizard), Raffaello (the mysterious child)), Irma (the treasure hunter) and her Chocobo Volg. Dual screen displays expand functionality as top screen will show Chocobo's condition, map, and conversation dialog, while bottom screen will allow full player access to Chocobo.

During battle modes, the top screen will display vital information including experience points, level, and health, all to leave you with more room to fight. Chocobo's attack is based on normal attack, magic, and his job's special attack. The new DS version will not only provide the original 10 job class, but will also add some new jobs. Though information is limited, we do know that new jobs will be chosen from the red wizard, poet, summoner, machinist and hero X. Each job will include different outfits for Chocobo on top of new special attacks and skills.

The DS Version will also feature a new storyline centering on Cid's adventures. We also know that players are able to use the starship to guide Cid to unlock the secrets of his secret grandpa "Kulin."

Garnet Chronicle - PSP Import Pre-Order - 10/23/2008

Sega returns with is old-school RPG success Garnet Chronicle. The story explores a rookie knight, who investigates the secret of a mysterious evil stone. The game characters are designed by a few of the illustrators of online game smash-hit "Lineage." Garnet Chronicle will also feature popular vocal actors Midori Hikaru and Kigimiya Rie to record opening and ending songs of the game. Game graphics and ending themes will be in 2D.

Traditional RPG elements have been implemented, players will engage in fights upon touching enemies (similar to "Blue Dragon" & "Chrono Cross"). The battle mode is turn based and players will fight in order of descending agility level. Learn new abilities and level up players! Sega brings back our old RPG memories with a new kick!

Marvelous Entertainment, creators of the "Katekyoo Hitman Reborn!" saga, are scheduled to release two new titles onto the ps2 and psp consoles. Katekyoo Hitman Reborn Nerae (ps2) features a more adventure based format. Players act as cat, who can only transform into a human being for seven days, soon, you have to join a Reborn family and accept training from a series of characters. Players will engage in a music-pairing style play (you would have to match up the screen signs with your ps2 controller symbols) during music portions. During the "conversation mode", players will need to select the correct sentences to level up a friend.

Opposite to its ps2 brother, Katekyoo Hitman Reborn! Battle Area PSP will be a full-fledged 3D fighting title. The storyline will be completely new and original. Players can dress their characters with outfits and accessories to create hundreds if not thousands of unique looks. The game will also allow up to 4 players to play together using connect battle.

To Love Ru (Trouble) - New Import Pre-Order DS (8/28/08), PSP (9/25/08)

To Love Ru is finally getting it's debut on PSP and DS. The anime series specifically focuses on cute girls. Marvelous Entertainment will be releasing the DS Version dubbed "To Love Ru Trouble: Waku Waku! Rinkangakkou-Hen" and the PSP version appropriately named "To Love Ru Trouble: Doki Doki! Inkaigakkou-Hen." Both games are 2D love-comedy-adventure types for the gamer who loves more than just watching the anime.

The DS version engulfs fans in Rito's (mind you that Rito is obsessed with Haruna) and Co's class trip in the mountain forest, and the PSP version focuses on another trip to the beach. Each version will have similar situations but different story lines. Author Saki Hasemi and illustrator Kentaro Yabuki have implemented new characters throughout the games. The DS version will also feature mini 3d/2d minigames for fans. Respectively, the PSP version will feature many hidden scenes and a "imaging mode" for fans to unlock.

For the die-hard To Love Ru fan, both titles will have limited edition sets. Each will include a game setting book, one photo style sticker, and one 60x90cm picnic towel. Both covers will feature different characters, different stickers, and towels.

Ga-Ko Alarm Clock - Arriving Next Week

We were finally able to get our order for Konami Limited Edition Ga-Ko clocks in! Clocks are arriving mid next week and all pre-orders will ship on time. The clock will utilize 3 AAA batteries (not included) and duck's head will move in a swivel motion upon alarm sound.

Sunny utilizes the Gako timer in Metal Gear Solid 4 during an egg-cooking sequence. In addition, this mascot makes its appearance in previous games as an extra item.

As if we don't have enough plushes, bags, and styluses, Pokemon Center releases two new bags to further aggrandize their collection. The first bag is a cute Shaymin / Pikachu pouch with fellow buddies Piplup, Turtwig, and Chimchar beautifully imprinted on the front of the cover. The second ds lite pouch contains the precisely stitched graphics of Dialga and Giratina (Another Forme). These cases are large enough to hold your ds lite snugly, but also compact enough to hold extra styluses and an array of games.

These cases are pokemon center exclusives and can only be purchased through Japan's Pokemon Center (which I've only frequented one time), but we were able to grab a small quantity of these cases for the general public. Dragon Ball DS - New Import Pre-Order - 9/18/2008

Dragon Ball Z is back once again! Most of us watching dragon ball today are much younger than the anime itself! Namco Bandai brings us back to the very quasi-humble beginnings of Goku. Players will search for dragon balls with Bulma at the start of the game, and will follow the original storyline. During battle, players use the stylus pen to attack and are allowed to point at targets at a distance, where Goku will use his Magic Stick's to pulverize enemies. Goku will use punch and kicks for close combat, and if players rub the touch screen in a special motion, Goku will use his classic attack, the Kamehameha. Gameplay is entirely in 3D, and will re-produce many classic scenes! Whether you're a first time or long time fan, it's never too late to rejoice in Goku's childhood adventures!

Wii Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou - Import Pre-Order - 11/28/2008

Haruhi trumps onto the Wii for the very first time as Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekidou! Kadokawa Shoten presents this intensive anime at the end of November moments after Black Friday and invites fans to dance with SOS Dan. Little of the game story is known, but we know that it will closely replicate the anime series; it will divide all stages to be different episodes. Players will dance with Negato, Mikuru, and of course, Haruhi. Kadokawa Shoten has developed the "Game Mode" in 3d and the "Story Mode" in 2D.

Game play will be on par with a music game, but instead of pressing buttons, players will need to move in conjunction with the wii remote to execute certain dance moves. In addition, during game play, players can earn additional cosplay items to dress up their characters in different outfits.

Pokemon Platnium DS - New Import Pre-Order - Free Figure with Pre-Order

Rev yourself up for a new installment in the epic Pokemon Series! Pokemon platinum differs from its old counterparts with the rumor that it might have a new Global Battle Station, GBS, which allows Pokemon fans from the world-over to play against each other with the following 3 rules:

1. Basic rules vs. Battle Tower Rules
2. Single Vs. Double Battle
3. 3-Pokemon Teams(4 in Double Battles) Vs. 6-Pokemon Teams.

Mind that this is strictly just a rumor. But some good news! The battle frontier returns from Pokemon Emerald! Nintendo has also added an expansion to "Fight Area." Players are allowed to use their trainers in the Global Trade Station to exchange pokemon within their inner circle of friends. As if there weren't enough new features, the new Battle Recorder system allows players to record battle replays and share with all.

Fate/Tiger Colosseum Upper - PSP Import Pre-Order

Fate/Tiger Colosseum, known as the cute & funny action-fighting PSP game released last year, comes back this September as Fate Tiger Colosseum Upper. Game play is similar to it's counterpart. Players are allowed to choose between 12 combatants. Capcom promises a funnier story line as Saber and her friends from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia and Fate/Zero. This game will also include a limited edition box set (Megamori Box) which includes a set of Tarot Cards (23 Cards) illustrated by various famous Japanese ACG illustrators. Also included are a binder, a drama cd, and a special DVD. To make this package even more exciting, a 72 page full-color book will include character settings and comic-like interviews! For fans of Fate/Tiger, lets make it out loud!

Update: Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete. Version and FFXIII PSP Games

Square Enix has announced the release of their ever-so-famous CG movie "Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete Version." It will feature 1080P Blu-Ray disc format, and will include 30 extra minutes of never before seen footage. In addition, fans will receive a small demo of FFXIII. Official release date is set for sometime in March 09.

But on for some other good and bad news: "Final Fantasy Agito XIII" and "Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday" will be released on the PSP console. Initially, Square Enix planned for a mobile phone release, but opted out. These two titles will be made fully in 3D, with release dates still pending.

Soul Eater - Monotone Princess - Wii Import Pre-Order

Square Enix will release their increasingly intense action adventure game dubbed "Soul-eater-Monotone Princess." Players will be able to choose from three main characters as the "meister", (Maka, Black Star, or Death the Kid), and complements of their partner/weapons ( Soul, Tsubaki, Liz and Patty). Soul is the death sythe, Tsubaki is a transforming ninja weapon with many styles, and Patty and Liz are dual guns. New storylines and characters are exclusively designed by the creator, Atsushi Okobo. Aside from 3D gameplay, Okobo's production company BONES will also create new special animation scenes for the game. During actual gameplay, players need to follow the soul-wavelength (similar to cadence), using the A button for combo attacks. When the wavelength level is high, the player can start "Soul Resonance", a special attack. Players are allowed to change characters during the adventure, and will result in multiple endings.
